What’s the difference between hiring an agency versus hiring several freelancers?
Hiring a freelancer for anything, particularly marketing, is completely different from using an agency.
Here are some ways to explain the difference. By far the most obvious advantage of hiring an agency is that you get all related services for one cost.
A freelance employee will have to be compensated for their work, but also have to charge you for materials and other supplies associated with that project. Paying a freelancer fully includes the cost of materials and other expenses, which means that should your project take longer than expected, those extra fees will show up on your bill quickly. Furthermore, coordinating several freelancers will increase the management time and costs of your projects.
There is a flaw (or two) about working with an agency; the team must take diversity into consideration when creating the best product. You would therefore be able to reach a wide range of marketing targets in different languages, thus speeding up the process and ensuring high-quality images.
Most freelancers have a specific field of expertise, so they can tailor a project to that specific topic. Suppose your project requires video editing, but you’re worried about the quality of the results. If you choose a freelancer instead of an agency and they’re spreading resources around, the freelancer will probably take longer to produce high-quality results.
Even if the process takes the same amount of time, it will most likely be done better by an agency due to the amount of staff involved.
If your product requires an international (multilingual) approach, then an agency will be your best choice.
If you are interested in cost performance, an agency could be the best choice for you.
Instead, if you are interested in cheaper development and account management with more time to manage the project, then a freelancer or a group of freelancers is your best option.
